ROXY MUSIC - DO THE STRAND
Sortie en 1973, cette perle incroyable des Roxy Music (composée par Bryan Ferry) est construite sur une espèce d’explosion instrumentale où chacun cherche son espace et la voix de Bryan Ferry fait le lien.
A l’époque, de nombreux groupes essayaient de lancer la “IT-dance” (eg: Little Eva) et proposaient à leur public une variante perso. La consigne de Roxy Music au contraire, c’est: “lâchez-vous comme vous le sentez, si vous le sentez, vous êtes cool, you do the strand…”.
Alors évidemment, Bryan Ferry c’est un peu mon idole donc je ne suis pas objectif mais… pour ma part, je pense que ce “do the strand” est un appel non pas à danser et se lâcher sur de la musique mais à faire l’amour.
